Rebuild Nepal...

From the tallest peaks in the world, epic valleys, thunderous gorges, narrow villages, brightly coloured buddhist monasteries, to the neighborhoods of Kathmandu...

our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Nepal.

I want to personally invite you

to an evening of music, community and support – Rebuild Nepal, May 30th, at the Crystal Castle...

From the furthest star... to a grain of sand – we are all connected.  Join Laura Targett and some very 'special guests'  and me for a day you'll never forget..!!

I am sure most of you know by now that my band and I are recently back from an amazing music trek in Nepal where we debued my new album It's All a Beautiful Noise at 10,000ft, and gave a series of free concerts for the people who live on the Annapurna Circuit.

It would turn out we left Nepal 36 hours before the devastating earthquake would hit, leaving us all stunned and concerned with bittersweet feelings for our trip and the new friends we left behind.

Wanting to do something as soon as we heard the news, Mik and I reached out to Naren and Sono, and the Crystal Castle team in Mullumbimby NSW, William Martin at the Byron Bay Community Radio Station - BayFm, and CRN Australia's Community Radio Network, Biggs Sound, Renny Sax Photography, and Oz Tix to produce a benefit concert called, Rebuild Nepal. Join us May 30th at the Crystal Castle 3-7pm, or listen in to our broadcast live on Bayfm. It doesn't matter where you live in the world you can listen in and you can donate...

Bayfm Broadcast May 30th

With the active support of BayFm Manager Billy Martin, and the Byron Bay community radio station, our benefit concert will be broadcasted in full to the local community, and edited down to an hour for national broadcast. The hour broadcast will feature the best of performances of the event, intercut with in-depth on the ground commentary like interviews with the Australian Embassy in Nepal and other people on the ground. Our hour benefit special will be made available to Community Radio Stations across the country. And this will give us the opportunity to gather a massive amount of support!

Where to Donate

To make a donation now go to: https://www.mycause.com.au/page/103477/rebuildnepal

It is very important to all of us working on this event that 100% of what is raised goes to the people of Nepal. Your giving goes four ways:

1) Tents to Nepal - immediate shelter relief; 2) Karuna-Shechen - food and medical relief efforts by monks trained for natural disasters; 3) Access Nepal - mental health work; and 4) Funds taken directly to people and groups on the ground.

Naren (owner of Crystal Castle), and myself will take funds raised to Nepal (traveling at our own expense) in order to assess where the money is most needed, and to ensure the funds get to people on the ground.

If you live within a two hour radius of Byron Bay join us for an incredible day filled with love, music, and good food on the stunning grounds of Crystal Castle. In addition to many special guests, Laura Targett will play her debut album, Fragile, and my band, and I will share the music we played on Poon Hill - It's All a Beautiful Noise.

A lovely little detail: our concert will take place in front of the new Peace Stupa; the Peace Stupa is one of seven in the world and blessed by the Dalai Llama - a perfect point of power for our effort.

Shuttle available from Mullumbimby High School, they will run from 12.30pm, $ 5 donation for return ticket. Tickets are $25, and children under four are free so bring the whole family!
