Considerations for reducing your office refurbishment costs

Being tasked with organisation of an office fit out can be a daunting prospect at the best of times - coming up with a plan which ticks all the boxes can feel completely unachievable especially at a time when all companies are looking to save money and reduce direct overhead costs.

This is where planning and objective setting can really pay dividends.

Here at Mission we have carried out hundreds of interior projects of all shapes and sizes which gives us a huge bucket list of options and ideas to help you achieve your budget and we can also add some innovative cost saving ideas along the way.

Having an idea of your ideal budget gives scope to enable us to think laterally and come up with a solution that meets your operational and concept design but more importantly allows us flexibility in looking at how we can implement small changes to make the project more cost efficient for you.

Cost effective aesethic ideas which have provided a "wow" factor and reduced costs include:-

Decoration - think innovatively about the use of colour schemes - crisp white walls create a crisp fresh Corporate branding giving a smart minimalist feel but at a fraction of the cost of vinyl wall coverings.

Added flooring with cool green colorways and cladded matching columns gives further pazaz.

Furniture - Think outside the box - By improvising with smart desking such as the Callisto desking range, your Reception area can be transformed into a modern stylish area.

Savings are considerable to the traditional bespoke manufactured reception counter.

Kitchen Staff areas - Tiled Splash back areas replaced by brightly coloured Perspex creates colour impact, this results in an immediate labour saving against traditional ceramic tiles with the added benefit of being an easy maintenance option.

A most unusual request..........

This month our team carried out a more unusual  exterior project which showcases how adapt Mission is at providing just about any solution.

Our clients request included removal of a previously old planter with a new updated version which could be easily maintained and at the same time provide a greener backdrop to hide generators to the rear of their premises.

Mission's very own "Charlie Dimmock" & "Alan Tidmarsh" rose to the task.

The result incorporated a fully clad planter with a fully operation irrigation system to keep the new hedging plants happy and healthy - this has transformed the area creating feature hedging which is much more pleasing for our clients staff and visiting clients.

A full case study will be on our website shortly but here are a few taster images of the planter coming to life.
