L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival

L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival

For the third year in a row Bettina’s kids have stolen the show in the Mini-Me parade at the L’Oreal fashion festival held in March this year. This time round, Bettina Management was the dominant provider of talent for the show putting forward 14 kids who did a great job strutting their stuff in front of national news crews, representatives from all the main papers, a host of local celebrities and a vibrant festival audience. A massive thanks goes out to the 14 kids that had an outstanding performance on the day and their families that attended to support them. You’ve made Bettina Management proud!

The sun was shining brightly when a selection of Bettina’s kids were requested to attend the filming of a Delfin television commercial in Coolum, Queensland.

The kids, accompanied by a parent, were invited to stay at the beautiful Coolum Hyatt Hotel overnight during the shoot of the commercial. What a treat!

On the West side, kids from Bettina Management Perth got busy “making new friends” when they were asked to appear in an RM Williams commercial in the scenic Margaret River region.

Bettina Management was delighted to hear that the RM Williams crew loved working with the kids who were “laughing their heads off by the end of the day”.

Congratulations to the kids and their parents for making the filming of the commercial an easy job and a job well done!

Hey, my name is Amy and this year I was in the L’Oreal Fashion Festival it was so much fun! The rehearsals were exciting and I made many new friends. I did 3 walks overall for Mini Haha, Replica and Muppet they all had great clothes. On the day we all came in very early and got our hair and a tiny bit of stage makeup done it was so exciting! Then a reporter and camera man interviewed a couple of us. I was one of the kids interviewed it was just about how excited I was and what I wanted to be when I grew up. Then we were ready and the show began. The show was great and all the other kids loved it too. After the show the same reporter and camera man were backstage and they interviewed us in groups and asked us to pose. It ended up on the Today show along with some photos of the show in action. I was in one of the photos as well and it was so exiting to see myself and my new friends on T.V. Overall the show was so much fun and all the people were great including all the dressers especially mine who was so nice. It was an unforgettable experience. Amy Vadiveloo

Hello Anna, Just recently I finished filming as an extra in the mini series, Dead Normal. As it was my first job for Bettina Management, I found it’s enjoyable and exciting. Being on the set for the show gave me opportunities for a range of things, firstly, to see and experience things one wouldn’t in everyday life, secondly, to meet many wonderful people and make some new friends, and lastly, but mainly, it provided me with a great first acting experience and knowledge which will hopefully help me in future endeavours. I look forward to hopefully partaking in future jobs for Bettina Management. Regards Jessica Baggio

After auditioning for the catwalk, I was keeping a positive attitude, hoping that I was going to be accepted. As soon as I found out that I had got in, and that I had to go to a fitting I was full of joy but still didn’t know what to expect from the organizers, or what they were expecting from me. After I had tried on the clothes I was going to wear, I couldn’t wait till the show. I missed the first practice. After that I was a bit nerves wondering if I could do as good as they were expecting. But I got to the last practice and did fine. After the show I was relieved. Doing the catwalk was a one in a million chance for me, with the friends I made and things I experienced; I could do it again without changing anything. Stevie was my dresser for the Just Jeans clothes that I wore at the show. Anna from Bettina was great looking after me and my family we all had an excellent day.  Regards, Neane

Hello Anna,
My name is Piper Heard & this is my experience as a model at L'Oreal Fashion Week: This was my first ever fashion parade.  It was very exciting trying on the clothes, meeting new friends & going to rehearsals. The day before the actual parade I was really nervous. On the day I felt like a real model with all the fuss of a girl to help me get dressed and also people to do my hair and makeup. On the stage during the parade I had so much fun, a lot more than I thought I would.  The next day it was really cool to see myself on television & in the newspaper photos of the parade. I'd love to do this again one day.  Thanks for helping me have this opportunity.
Regards, Piper  (Piper's photo features in the 'Latest News' section)

Hello Anna, Mum and I would like to say a really big thank you to you and Bettina’s. On Monday I had a really cool photo shoot for Aldi at Point Piper I had a good time I to got to slip and slide, dive into the pool, poolside side photo’s with a beach towel and go into a pool with no water (only a bucket of water) and throw it up in the air oh yeah my mum loved the house it was at. Then on Friday I had a shoot for Eveready batteries it was awesome. There was a 12 year old girl with me (who was my sister for the day) playing a guitar while I sat on a dinosaur with heaps of other toys around us I pretended to be racing him I was so glad I was chosen for this shoot. We were told it was for a really big promotion to win toys and it runs for 3 months and will be all over the shopping centres I can’t wait neither can my mum and dad oh yeah and my nanna. My mum and I would like to also say a really big thank you to everyone on Friday they were really nice and the ladies at Eveready gave me a toy from the shoot to take home because they said I did a really good job it was R2-D2 from star wars I love him he follows me around the house and dances and whistles he is cool. This week I told my mum and dad it was the best week ever. Thank you heaps, Baeley Recchia

My name is Will and I am nearly six! A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be in the L'Oreal Fashion Festival. It was my first parade and it was great! I made a new friend called Zack and we had fun playing DSI games whilst we were waiting our turn! The clothes were so comfy and I looked really cool, but as soon as the parade finished I had to put my school uniform on and go back to school. Thank you to Bettina Management for helping me. Love Will

To my surprise, Emily had already been chosen for a commercial. I have received nothing but friendly, helpful and professionalism from Anna and all who I’ve dealt with. At the filming everyone was extremely nice and Emily got plenty of attention from everyone there! Thanks for everything. Regards, Jenni (Emily’s Mum)

Hi Anna, Just letting you know I have sent off to you some of Baeley’s photo’s that were done for Eveready. He was so excited, there are huge poster’s hanging from the roof in Westfield, massive floor mats, stickers on the batteries, entry pads, letter box cards and Eveready are doing the free gift wrapping service in Westfields and the posters are also on their stands. Again we would like to thank you for all Baeley’s work this year he has learnt and grown so much. Yours truly, Kerrie, Shane and BAELEY

Hi Anna, Just wanted to let you know that Storm really enjoyed the photoshoot last week. I was pleasantly surprised at how she handled things, given she is only just about to turn 2! Anyway, thank you for recommending Storm and I hope things really work out for the designer, both her and the photographer were great with Storm. I have attached a few pictures for you to have a squiz – you can see one of the gorgeous dresses Storm was privileged to wear on the day! Looking forward to hearing from you again. Penny Butler

Hi Anna, We had a great day with the kids. They were so professional and really fun to work with - credit to your agency. They worked like troopers as we had a tight schedule to follow. I think they particularly enjoyed the last bit where we took them down to the beach and put them in canoes and a tinnie and floated around for a while. They all came organised with the things I asked them to bring also. Parents were great.
Thanks again for organising this for us. We got all the shots we needed. Regards, Leanne Fisher  Deputy Principal Clontarf Beach State High School QLD.

I love working with Bettina! If I ever need a model for my photo shoots Bettina are always there to help me out. They are so easy to deal with and always provide me with professional, enthusiastic and confident talent that I enjoy having on my set. Cheers, Paula Bartlett Production Co-ordinator Best & Less

Hi Lauren, Thanks so much for booking Mikayla and Marcus Sparrow into the workshops, they had a great time and really got alot of encouragement out of the sessions. They are so keen to get lots of work and Marcus has confirmed his dream to be an actor.Thank again. Angela

All done. Jack finished up at 1pm. He appeared to have entirely too much fun. Thank you for putting him forward Anna and maintaining such a terrific level of communication. Thanks also to your clients for making him so welcome on his first job, setting him completely at ease. They were all just so lovely. Warm regards, Rebecca.

Hi Anna, Thanks for giving us the fantastic opportunity to be involved in the Loreal Mini Me Parade. It was an awesome experience to be backstage watching it all come together - what a massive job! Everyone there was great and Emily had a really fun time. I'd especially like to say a big thank you to the volunteers backstage they were so good with the kids and kept them entertained. Also the older girls in Emily's group were really encouraging and kind and a bit help for Emily. We now have a new game at our house where Em walks down the "stage" and waves to all the people while we pretend to take photos- very cute!
Thanks again, Bec (Emily's mum)

Hi Anna, Just a quick note to say Lewis (and our entire family/friends) have been rapt to see him in the Tennis Australia TVC. We were surprised that considering he was an extra, he is quite prominent in it. He starts school this Monday so I can only imagine what he'll want to talk about for "Show & Tell". I hope your year has got off to a great start. We sure hope to hear from you soon. Thanks. Regards........Pauline Boyle

Anna & the Staff at Bettina, Just a quick note to let you know what a great day Lily had yesterday filming the Holden TVC. She really did have lots of fun. Her comment to me this morning when I got her up out of bed was “Can I go to the modelling with the big camera and play tennis again today?” I’d like to say a huge thankyou to all people involved in the Holden TVC. Despite the wind, rain, and cold, everyone from wardrobe-to-cameramen-to-nurse-to-crew-to-producer and director, all were wonderful. Everyone ensured that we were dry, warm, fed and comfortable. I know that Lily did her very best yesterday and I was very proud of her. The added bonus at the end of the day was being approached by the producer and director who gave Lily the thumbs up. Thanks again. Lily’s Mum – Leah Jones

Hi Anna, Just a quick note to say how much fun Zack had doing the L'Oreal Mini Me Fashion Parade. He made some new friends and had a "ball". Coincidentally Zack and Will R. made friends whilst in the Casting line, then both were so happy to see the other there at the fitting on the Saturday, then right through the rehearsals and they ended up together on the day sharing the same dresser! Zack is only 4 years old but took to the stage like he'd been there before. Now he keeps asking me "Mum, have we got modelling on this week? It was also great for the proud grandparents to be able to come along and see Zack in action.  We appreciate this opportunity and look forward to hearing from you again soon. Thanks and regards, Lyndal and Zack Burston

Thank-you Bettina! Working on set at Dead Normal was a great pleasure and experience, but not only that it was enjoyable and fun too. There were many lovely and friendly people on set with us, which made the job easier. They would guide you through what they wanted you to do, and were happy to help at anytime. You were expected to be professional about what you were doing while you were there and respect all crew and cast, but as long as this was done, everyone was friendly and up for a chat. Overall it was a wonderful experience that I’d be delighted to repeat and one that I will certainly remember. Kayla Viney

Hi Anna, . Thank you so much for the opportunity yesterday. As it was Emma’s first assignment we were a little nervous and didn’t really know what to expect. All the crew from RM Williams were absolutely fantastic with the children and had Emma and Lachlan laughing their heads off by the end of the day. Emma thoroughly enjoyed the experience and “wants to do it again today”. Thank you also to you and all the staff at Bettina who patiently took all my “first parent” queries and arranged the shoot so professionally and quickly.   Kind regards, Jodie Donald

I loved when we all did the party dancing it was cool. I loved being part of the L’Oreal Fashion Parade, I loved it very much. I loved my clothes they were beautiful. Cheers Lucy.

I would also like to add that it was very well organized and they were extremely good to the children which made it a great experience for all. Cheers, Annelies (Lucy's Mum)

Dear Anna, Thank you very much for casting me for the Lincraft winter catalogue. The photo shoot went extremely well. The photographer and directors were very happy with me. I had a lot of fun during this shoot. Looking forward to my next casting. Thank you and kind regards, Ethan Roberts

The Loreal Fashion Festival was a life experience which taught me confidence and gave me an insight into the hard work behind the industry. I was proud to be involved with it and look forward to doing it again. Jesse

Dear All, Just wanted to drop a quick line to say thank you for the modelling and acting sessions my daughter, Sophie Riva (13) who is on your books, recently undertook. She thoroughly enjoyed herself on both occasions and found the interviewing techniques she learned on Saturday most helpful – and fun.

Hi, Today is my last day and I just wanted to write a quick email in appreciation of all your efforts on Dead Normal. The extras were fantastic and a real joy to work with. Hi Anna, just want to say thank you for the opportunity you provided for Chloe-Rose. She worked last Saturday for Peter's at a commercial shoot. She had lots of fun and made lots of friends, and followed instructions from the director like a pro. Lots of photo's were taken behind the scenes, I will endeavour to pass them on to you soon. Regards, Lorraine Anastasio

Just a note to say thank-you for Mikayla's job on Saturday, the Peter's ice-cream commercial.  She had a great time, the staff and crew were good and all the kids involved were very patient and very well behaved, considering they were outside in a cold wind most of the day.  Well done to you all. Mikayla has a taste for it now, so if you have anymore work please consider us. Thank-you Angela Fraser
