Hi there!

I'm running a mini survey on how much time we spend looking at our screens. The results will make it into the next issue of Offscreen. There are only eight multiple-choice questions, so it shouldn't take you more than a minute to complete. Participate now.

Thanks! And enjoy the rest of your week! 🎃

This Weekʼs Line-Up

Unlimited, fast wifi everywhere
01

The GeeFi is a small device that connects to all major phone network providers in the world without ever swapping a SIM card. It promises reliable, fast, unlimited data connections anywhere you go – for $10 per day (you purchase a 24-hour day pass). It also doubles as a battery pack.

Listen to your reading list
02

"Narro turns your reading list into a podcast." I'll be trying this out later today. Maybe I can make progress on my bottomless Pocket reading list by listening to it like a podcast. (I know Pocket has a similar, built-in feature, but I was told Narro is nicer to listen to.)

A statement on your wall
03

"The Bold wall clock distinguishes itself by its simple yet characterful expression. The face and hands of the clock have plump, rounded shapes that soften up the otherwise minimalistic and industrial design." This clock tells time with confidence.

A CAD-inspired interface design tool
04

"Subform empowers designers to create responsive layouts, enforce consistent styles, build stateful components, and work with real content—all inside of a familiar, desktop-based visual design environment." – There certainly is no shortage of new apps trying to break into the UI design space. Subform has been making the rounds on Twitter and is currently ~50% short of its Kickstarter funding goal.

An adaptable desk lamp
05

In the iron base of this almost robotic looking desk lamp sits a switch that allows you to adjust the temperature of the light. I wish all of our lights at home had that feature built-in.

Slack-style emoji everywhere on Mac
06

Rocket is a tiny Mac app that lets you insert emojis and small react-gifs more easily and quickly inside any app. 🎉

Whatever you design, use it to raise the expectations of what can be achieved.
