St. Barnabas Agricultural College (CASB), Terrier Rouge, Haiti
St. Barnabas Agricultural College (CASB), which attracts students from all over Haiti, has an exciting vision that is replicable in other developing countries. Currently, the 30-year-old Haitian junior college is a center for agriculture education and its practical application within Haiti’s Northern Region. CASB’s vision is to be a critical element of change within the region through agriculture education, technology application, and agribusiness economic development for the continued improvement and sustainability of the center, its students, regional farmers, and agriculture entrepreneurs – both large and small. In short, it is a vision of comprehensive economic development.

On the road again…
The life of a major gifts officer is rather nomadic. Since joining the Development Office this past summer, we have been traveling far and wide to meet with as many of you as possible. Our initial outreach has concentrated on leadership within dioceses (bishops, deputies, clergy, and lay leaders) and related Episcopal agencies. The purpose of our visits is to learn about your needs, identify ways in which we can support your work, and open a dialogue on how together we can best serve the Church as a whole.

John C. Whitehead, Advisory Council member, dies at 92
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the death of our dear friend and adviser, John C. Whitehead. A devoted Episcopalian, successful businessman, public servant, and philanthropist, John served on the Advisory Board of the Development Office with the same clear perspective and strategic thinking that left his indelible mark on every project and organization with which he engaged.
