All aboard! The islands of Sydney Harbour are set for a feast of entertainment this October as Sydney Harbour Island Hopping returns for 2010 as part of the Crave Sydney International Food festival!

Island delights in Sydney this October

Join us as the islands of Sydney Harbour National Park come alive with three exciting events for Sydney Harbour Island Hopping 2010:

Island Hopping – Saturdays and Sundays, 9-24 October

Step aboard the Island Hopper ferry for a voyage of discovery! Back with a fresh new island line-up in 2010, the Island Hopper will take visitors on a harbour loop to Shark Island, Clark Island and the recently re-opened Goat Island. Try a taste of 1830s colonial life on Goat, let the kids try their hand at becoming a national parks 'Future Ranger' on Shark, and sample traditional bush tucker as part of a vibrant Aboriginal cultural experience on Clark.

WIN an Island Hopping family pass for 2 adults and 2 kids on Sunday, 10 October – to go into the draw, email us the answer to the following question: 5 islands in Sydney Harbour form part of Sydney Harbour National Park, including Shark Island, Clark Island, Goat Island and Fort Denison. The Perfect Picnic – Monday, 4 October

Round up your mates, pack a hamper and head to Clark Island for a chilled wind-down to the October long weekend at the Perfect Picnic. DJ Lady Tre will deliver an ambient soundtrack as you kick back and relax, join in games like giant chess and soak up the island's sensational Sydney panoramas. There'll be prizes for best picnic spreads and costumes, so dress to impress if you're game!

Dining on Fort Denison – Saturdays and Sundays, 9-24 October

Boasting unrivalled views, the spectacularly located Fort Denison Restaurant is offering a special one-off Crave Festival fine dining experience that takes inspiration from dishes served in the time of the early colony but interpreted with a modern twist. Featuring local Australian produce and wines, lunch and dinner packages include guided tours of the last Australian Martello Tower, ferry transfers to and from the island and a sparkling wine welcome drink on arrival.

Sydney Harbour Island Hopping is a part of The Sydney Morning Herald Crave Sydney International Food Festival presented by Citibank, offering 31 days of extraordinary food experiences.

Competitions close midnight on 5/9/10 and will be drawn and judged on 6/9/10. Winners will be advised by email and published in the next issue of Naturescapes. The Island Hopping competition is a game of chance. The prize includes 2 Adult tickets and 2 Child tickets for Island Hopping on 10/10/10 and must be taken on this date. The Perfect Picnic competition is a game of skill and will be judged by a NPWS panel. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize is 2 Adult tickets to the Perfect Picnic on 4/10/10. Prizes cannot be exchanged, tranferred or redeemed for cash.
