We are excited to welcome Christyna Kiesel, Occupational Therapist and Women's Health Specialist, to our team of providers at Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy - Corvallis.

As a licensed occupational therapist, Christy maximizes each client’s participation in activities that bring meaning and purpose to their life. She has a thorough understanding of how strongly linked our bodies and brains are to our environment and our occupations, or those activities a person wants or needs to do (i.e. sexual activity, caregiving for others, toileting, physical activity, sleep).  Every woman is unique; thus, Christy uses an individualized treatment plan for each client that combines evidence-based assessments and interventions. Examples include: standardized testing, internal exams, lifestyle modification and reorganization, cognitive-behavioral therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise prescription and instruction.

Christy is now accepting new patients. Please contact the clinic to schedule an evaluation, or to get more information about our new women’s health services.

John completed his orthopaedic manual therapy residency in 2008 and Natalie is currently working towards completion of her orthopaedic manual therapy residency.  There are only 1603 physical therapists who have completed residency training nation-wide.  That is less than 1% of all physical therapists.  Residency training includes learning from expert mentors, performing research, teaching, and taking ongoing clinical education- all while maintaining a full caseload of patients.

Conditions We Treat

space
space

The musculoskeletal system consists of bones, cartilage, tendons, muscles, and ligaments. Primary functions of the musculoskeletal system include support of the body, provision of motion, and protection of vital organs. Building a strong musculoskeletal system requires movement.

Physical therapists are specially trained healthcare professionals that focus on the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular dysfunction. Educated in anatomy and physiology, we are experts in understanding how movement, posture, and function affect the wellness of our patients. Our goal is to promote healthy, pain-free activities that maximize productivity and enjoyment in both work and recreation. We promote healing by reducing pain and inflammation, increasing range of motion and strength, and improving posture, body awareness, and body mechanics.
