I hope your Christmas break was restful and relaxing!

• Bible - Elijah and the Widow; Elijah and the False Prophets
• Verse - Philippians 2:4 “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interest of others.”
• Spelling - Vowel Team -ai (long a sound: rain, plain, trail, braid)
• Reading & Phonics - Read “Let’s Go to the Moon”; practice reading words with vowel teams; introduce Author’s Purpose
• Grammar & Writing - Complete sentences; practice finding nouns, adjectives and verbs; write Squiggle stories & friendly letter
• Math - Subtraction facts; introduce centimeters; ½ & ¼, combining coins
• Science/Social Studies - How Plants Grow

• January 18 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day-No School (unless we need to make up a snow day)
