Protect Me From What I Want

Mathilde Martin

Full disclosure - I hardly know anything about earthenware, stoneware, or porcelain. In fact, I couldn't tell you the difference between the three.

In the name of #homeimprovement, this week's (non-expert) edition is a quick intro to ceramics via artists I personally admire 💕

If you are looking for flower arranging inspiration, Louis-Géraud Castor is a maestro. His Instagram account is a must-follow, and regularly features works by Mathilde Martin, whose unique 1/1 pieces are almost always sold out. This one would definitely be on my wish list.

I'll bring you flowers 🎶

Protect Me From What I Want

Shiro Tsujimura

Axel Vervoordt has built quite the Wabi-Savvy empire peddling (stolen) ancient artefacts. Colonial controversy aside, his gallery has highlighted some incredible artists, and I'm clearly a huge fan of his signature aesthetic.

Shiro Tsujimura and Kosi Hidama are two Japanese artists he most often collaborates with on his residential projects. The price point is more on collectibles end of the spectrum, but definitely feature heavily on the moodboard!

Yoon-Young Hur

Francis Gallery represents some stellar creatives like Jean-Baptiste Besançon, and Seoul / New York based Yoon-Young Hur.

Sophisticated summaries of artistic practice aren't my forte, so I'll sign off with a "Click through to learn more"!
