NH2019, 3-9 August, Ulster University, Coleraine No Images? Click here Around 200 volunteers have been busy planning exciting activities and relevant Bible teaching for the Children & Youth Programme. We are excited at the number registered, however this has meant that we have had to close registration for several programmes (see below) We are sorry that some children may not be able to attend but we have to follow the regulations for the number of children allowed in the 10 university venues as well as adult to child ratios. New Horizon adheres to a strict Child Protection Policy. Volunteers involved in the children and youth programmes are required to undertake checks through AccessNI, receive training in the New Horizon Child Protection procedures and provide referees before participating in the programmes.
We may be able to take more children in the creche if we had more volunteers. CLICK HERE to volunteer *We'll send out an email if spaces become available before New Horizon. He has an honours degree in Modern Languages from Queen’s University and trained as a schoolteacher. It was during his time as a student that he developed his involvement in Bible teaching and church planting. In 1995 Gilbert left teaching to devote himself to Bible teaching and leadership within Glenabbey Church which he helped to found in 1988. He has taught widely at conferences and churches in Ireland and overseas. He is married to Heather and they have 4 children, 7 grandchildren. Now retired from Glenabbey he is focussing on teaching, writing and having more time with family. He enjoys movies, music, gardening and lots of coffee drinking. A keen landscape photographer he is often to be seen wandering the Causeway Coast and remote headlands in Donegal.
