At Sketch Group, we believe that sketching can be transformational. Our sketches solve problems, bring stories to life, and simplify the complex. Here's a snapshot of what we've been up to lately. No Images? Click here Can you Imagine Running a Business for 50 years?Last week I attended a friend's 50th birthday party. This might seem like an odd thing to mention in the Feelin' Sketchy newsletter, however this birthday party was unlike most parties, because the "friend" turning 50 was actually the family-owned company, Neuland®. Many of you will recognise the name Neuland® as the industry-leading German manufacturer of markers, pinboards, and other visual facilitation tools. At Sketch Group we're such unashamed fans of Neuland® products that we approached them last year to become their Australian distribution partner, via the Graphic Gear online store that we launched in March this year. CEO Guido Neuland and Verena Hanke-Neuland deliver an emotional reflection on 50 years of running a successful company. So for the family behind Neuland to be still innovating and delivering market-leading products after such a long time is truly remarkable. Happy snaps from the 50 years of passion birthday celebration in Germany. As visual practitioners, we have a large array of tools available to us to do the work we do. At Sketch Group, our entire team of illustrators agree that Neuland® markers are the absolute best product available. We're very proud to be partners with such an inspiring company, and continue to be a happy customer at the same time. Happy 50th birthday Neuland®! Featured Videos: National Museum of Australia 'Defining Moments'At Sketch Group we were absolutely thrilled to partner with the National Museum of Australia for a recent series of videos for students that looked at key events in our colonial history. Written and narrated by David Hunt, author of Girt: the unauthorised history of Australia these five videos cover the Eureka Stockade, The Castle Hill Rebellion, Womens Suffrage, the Gold Rush and the Secret Ballot. They are funny, feisty and fabulously illustrated by the very talented Lucinda Gifford. You can find out about the democracy sausage, secret handshakes, strange haircuts and of course, the important moments that helped make us who we are. Animated history - a brilliant way to learn.
