Hi there,

At a time when many companies are struggling with cashflow, Airwallex is pumping theirs. The company, which hit unicorn status in just over three years, has ridden a wave of demand for cross-border payment innovation.

In the last half of 2020 it raised $200 million in Series D funding while increasing its global customer base by 50 percent and doubling net revenue.

Now it has put some of that cash to good use, buying Hong Kong prepaid card operator Unicard, joining the likes of PayPal and AliPay as a licensee in a territory which is already a hot bed for fintech.

So where to from here for this bullish unicorn?

Enjoy the read,
