Jennifer E., Bibulous Boozing Expert

Fact: some of the most lavish, exciting, and sexy bars in NYC can be found in hotels. Paper & String’s expert team of Bibulous Boozers ventured to Soho to scope out the hottest hotel hangouts in the hood. Although they don’t remember what they found, they’re experts, after all, and took copious notes.

1930's Beijing + Garden of Eden
This chic Soho hotel is home to Mister H, a dimly lit, red-hued lounge slash nightclub with 1930’s-style Beijing décor. Think: Chinese birdcages, red-cushioned chairs, and beaded curtains. Open Mon-Sat, 11pm
And if you don’t feel like dancing the night away like our expert team, head to the bar at the Mondrian’s garden-of-eden-inspired seafood restaurant, Imperial No. Nine, for an after-work cocktail (or two). Adorned with glass chandeliers, vases, candles and a generous amount of greenery, this is one of the most picturesque bars in NYC according to our BB’s copious notes.

London Libations
Have it all: enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails...or afternoon tea at the upscale, London-style Crosby Bar & Terrace. This watering hole offers an extensive wine list and cocktail menu with classics like Mai Tais and Old Fashions to signature drinks like a Saint Crosby (St. Germain, Remy Martin VSOP, brown sugar, champagne). Want to snack while you’re knocking them back? Dig into a divine selection of small plates, bar food, or more substantial dinner dishes like seared duck breast with red cabbage and vanilla scented turnips ($32). Bit of trivia: they grow their produce on the hotel's rooftop during the summer. Open daily, 7am-1am. drinks menu
