Kindergarten eNews

December has finally arrived!  And Christmas is in the air!  This week has been gingerbread man, boy, girl, cowboy, and friend week.  There are so many books now that take off on the gingerbread man.  All of them are fun to read.  Next week we will begin stories on the birth of Christ.  We would like to know of a family tradition you have in your home.  This will be our show and tell.

Next Week

  • Show and Tell:  Write or tell about a family tradition you do at Christmas
  • Bible:  We will begin the series on the birth of Jesus
  • Bible verse: I John 4:10,  “God loved us and sent His Son.”
  • Reading: Letters Xx and Zz. New sight words are:  be  was
  • Math:  Adding 1, 2, and 3 to another number. Count by 10’s, the 90 number family and counting to 100.  Number recognition as well through the 80’s.

Important Dates & Information

  • December 11 - Crazy Hat Day - Bring $1 for goats for Global Baptist Relief 
  • December 18 - Christmas sweater, sweatshirt or t-shirt day - Bring $1 for Global Bapstist Relief
  • December 18 - Christmas parties in the classroom at 12:15.  School is out at 1:00 pm. (No Extended Care)
  • December 21-January 4 - Christmas Break
