Merry Christmas! We thank the Father for the birth of Jesus – the preeminent reason for this season. Indeed, as followers of Jesus, we have hope that inspires joy and celebration as we reflect upon this greatest of all gifts.
As we approach the conclusion of 2018, we recognize the ways and many times that the Lord has empowered, provided for and directed the ministry of Hope Force International (HFI). At times overwhelmed by the need – but even more so, by the privilege of reflecting the love of God to people in the aftermath of disaster. As Pastor Joseph in Donalsonville, GA said, “Today, I just saw Jesus up on my roof. He was putting on a blue tarp.” We have seen Jesus doing a lot of things like that this past year, as demonstrated through the lives of those willing to serve. Many have seen Jesus in unexpected places, doing unexpected things, as His way of saying. “I love you, and you are not alone nor forgotten.”
We are profoundly grateful for our Hope Force International responders who have tirelessly served in the aftermaths of Hurricanes Harvey, Maria, Florence and Michael – and in the extensive flooding throughout Mexico. We are also thankful for those who continue to join us in our post-earthquake rebuild efforts in Haiti and Nepal.
