Three Phone Calls is All it Takes

As you may have heard, the recently released White House budget blueprint calls for the elimination of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, and a host of other agencies.

For fifty years, the NEH and NEA have supported programs like those of VFH, reaching nearly every American with opportunities to understand, to discover new perspectives, to reflect and engage.

We need your help NOW to urge members of Congress to preserve the vital work of these agencies. All it takes is a few phone calls. And believe it or not, it matters.

It's Easier Than You Think

If the idea of calling your representative is intimidating, don't worry. It's easier than you think.

3 Phone Calls - 10 minutes

  • Your Representative in the House
  • Your Two Senators

Each phone call will take about two or three minutes. You'll most likely get a voice-mailbox or a friendly congressional staffer who will pass your message on to your legislator.

Where to Start

Our friends at the National Humanities Alliance have a system that will patch you through to your representatives.

Click the "phone" icon on the top right, enter your phone number and they'll get you started. They'll even provide a script you can read if you're not sure what to say.
