Senior Safety Awareness Course to be Sponsored by Juno Beach Police Foundation!

We are thrilled to announce that starting this month and continuing through June 2024, the Juno Beach Police Department, in collaboration with the Juno Beach Police Foundation, will be hosting special courses dedicated to Senior Safety Awareness. These courses are designed to empower residents with essential knowledge and skills to safeguard themselves and their families.

Over the course of five weeks, residents at The Waterford Life Care facility will have the opportunity to participate in informative sessions led by various experts. These sessions will cover a range of topics including:

  • Insights from NorthComm, the 911 center handling Juno Beach emergencies.
  • Presentations by the State Attorney's Office and the Veteran's Administration.
  • Engaging Police K9 demonstrations.
  • Valuable advice from representatives of Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue.

  • The primary goal of the course is to equip attendees with the knowledge needed to recognize and avoid common scams and gain practical insights into protecting themselves and their loved ones. This will be accomplished through interactions with law enforcement officers, various community services, and local agencies.

Upon successful completion of the course, the Police Department aims to extend this initiative to benefit other residents within the Town of Juno Beach, fostering a safer and more informed community. Stay tuned for further details on future course as they become scheduled.
