Are you LEAN?

Are you a grape and wine business that has already adopted ‘Lean’ production principles?

GWRDC industry consultation has confirmed the barrier to adopting Lean production principles stems from existing information on ‘Lean’ focusing on the methods and language rather than the outcome.

To tackle this issue, GWRDC has commissioned 2xE, a specialist business and engineering consultancy, to develop a simple guide that interprets the ‘Lean’ technique for the wine industry.

Australian case studies will form part of this guide.

If you’re ‘lean’, 2xE would love to hear from you. Please contact Nick Palousis: P (08) 7324 5771; M 0408 896 552; E nick@2xe.com.au.

Agricultural Competitiveness White Paper

The Australian Government has commissioned a White Paper to boost agriculture’s productivity and profitability. A taskforce has been established to prepare the White Paper and conduct the consultation.

The White Paper will drive the long-term agricultural policies of the government and ensure Australia’s agriculture sector remains a significant contributor to the economy and local communities.

The White Paper will identify pathways and approaches for growing farm profitability and boosting agriculture’s contribution to economic growth, trade, innovation and productivity.
