Launceston’s City Park was a hive of activity on Sunday as almost 2000 people took part in this year’s B&E Tasmanian Running Festival.
The new look event drew a huge crowd, attracted by the relocated start/finish line, live music and the food and beverages on offer - not to mention the great weather.
In-form, Dave McNeil was the first runner over the line in the B&E Launceston Ten finishing in a time of 28.54. He was followed closely by Olympians Liam Adams and Ben St Lawrence in second and third place. Sinead Diver led the impressive field of women home in 32:51 with Cassie Fien and Elouise Wellings taking out the minor placings. Tassie was well represented, with Josh Harris and Meriem Daoui being the first male and female across the line.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the event and to all those who came along to show their support.
