Looking for event inspiration?Want to host a QMHW event but aren't sure what to do yet? Events don't have to involve lots of planning to have an impact. A morning tea at your workplace, school, or community group can be a great way to get involved and bring people together. For more ideas, download our Event Kit. Why not join other passionate people in the 8th annual Walk for Awareness dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. Held in Brisbane on Sunday morning on the 6th of October, the 8km walk is an inclusive and accessible walk through some beautiful scenery around the Brisbane river, starting and ending at Kangaroo Point. The walk is open to people of all ages, and children under 13 are free. The walk is wheelchair friendly and you can even bring your furry friends. The amazingly uplifting morning includes information about community-based mental health service providers; great entertainment including live music and a jumping castle and face painting for the kids; and a yummy selection of breakfast meals and coffee. You can register as a team or individual.
