Hi everyone!

I just realised that we're half way into 2015! Last weekend I've been doing a bit of planning and booking for my next trip to Europe and the US in August/September. Let me know if there is a meet-up or a conference I should be at. Hope to be able to meet with some of you in person!

Last week I also spent a bit of time preparing and publishing some blog posts that I had in the pipeline for a while, most notably some thoughts on growing my business (or not).

Three things I read over the weekend:

1) Why it’s actually smart to be mean online
2) Why design can't change the world
3) A giant essay on 'how to sell'

Have a great week!

This Weekʼs Line-Up

Extend the life of your batteries
01

This is one of those very boring looking innovations that could potentially have a huge impact: "Batteriser is an intelligent voltage management and delivery mechanism device made of thin stainless steel that slips over your battery and fits neatly back into your device's battery compartment, which can extend the life of your battery up to 8x." It's re-usable too. Brilliant!

Your iPad as a second display
02

Here's a handy app to make the most of your iPad while using your main computer: with Duet you can extend your Mac's screen to your tablet. A great idea for working on the road where screen real estate is always sparse.

Turn your iPad into a mini MacBook
03

What looks like a miniature version of a MacBook is actually the ClamCase: a case with an attached, high-quality keyboard that turns your iPad into a tiny laptop. For the first time I want to leave my MacBook Pro at home and only take an iPad on my next trip.

Nicer 'new tabs' in Chrome
04

The Chrome extension Momentum makes opening new tabs a lot more exciting: be surprised with fresh, stunning photography, the current time, an inspiring quote, the local weather, your tasks for the day, and more...

Mini wallet with super fast access
05

I love how creative people get when trying to invent the most minimal wallet possible. There are loads of great options out there, often born on Kickstarter. Add Basics to that list: a place for your most important cards; pull the strap and they pop out for easy access.

Structured, shared lists
06

If you are a list person, you'll love Omniflow. This tiny tool makes creating structured lists simple and fast. Reorganise your items via drag 'n drop, or share them with a colleague in real time.
