In these uncertain times, the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) requests your support by making a donation to go towards essential services for families and community members. 

Currently, CPC is responding to our community members' most critical needs by continuing to provide meals for seniors, home care, and the most up-to-date information and resources in languages that our communities know (check out AM 1480/AM 1380 at 2 pm in Cantonese and 7 pm in Mandarin). We are calling community members one-by-one to check on their well-being, and we changed our services to operate remotely. We are also creating new ways to help solve and advocate for the day-to-day needs of our communities, and we are coordinating with nonprofits, businesses, philanthropy, and city and state government agencies on our efforts. 

We have found that community members are not only living through the uncertainty and fear driven by the pandemic and economic challenges but also facing anti-Asian and xenophobic threats and microaggressions daily. Many are struggling with economic insecurity as Chinatown, Flushing, and Sunset Park were among the earliest impacted by the news of the coronavirus. 

Please consider donating to CPC as we continue serving everyone who needs help. We anticipate delays in normal operations and funding, and your contributions will help us to continue critical services that our children, seniors, and families across generations need most right now.

We will continue to keep you informed as the situation evolves and the community’s needs grow. While this period brings us never-before-seen challenges, it also brings us opportunities to come together as a community to support and advocate for each other.
