Research Update

Linked below is the Import-Export Report for January 2021. 

The key findings are:

  • The Import-Export report for January 2021 shows total imports up 11.7% for the month over January 2020. Non-alcoholic beer imports were up 8.8% in January 2021.
  • Total imports for Mexico were up 8.0% for the month. Total imports for the Netherlands were up 23.4% for the month. Imports from Italy were up 255.4% over January 2020.
  • Comparing packaging, imports from Mexico showed bottles up 10.5%, cans up 5.6% and draft down 12.2% for January 2021. The results from the Netherlands show cans up 71.1% and bottles up 13.1%, but draft down 77.6% when comparing January 2021 versus January 2020. The same comparison for Belgium shows bottles up 65.5%, cans up 31.3% and draft up 1.3% for the month.

The next Import-Export Report will be released on:

  • Wednesday, April 7, 2021 (Reporting for February 2021)
