2nd Grade eNews

We have learned a lot about spiders and insects this week – be sure and ask your child all about it!

• Bible – We will be studying in Numbers 12 about respect for authority. On Friday, we will listen to all Ten Commandments. The students are doing great with their memorization!
• Reading – Our skill this week will be over Story Structure.
• Spelling – We will be working on consonant blends with r, l, & s. Here are the words for this week: spin   clap   grade   swim   place   last   test   skin   drag   glide   just   stage   slip   drive   climb   price
• Grammar – Singular and plural nouns
• Math – Place value, subtraction facts, decoding number words, and counting by 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s. Flash cards are still the best way to practice addition and subtraction facts for speed.

Please remember, if your child wants to wear a jacket or sweater in class, it needs to be navy. Also, PLEASE put names in all jackets.

• October 5th – Cookie Dough Delivery 12:00-5:00pm in SEC foyer – remember we are trying to raise money for our FIELD TRIPS and for NEW PLAYGROUNDS!!! Thanks for all your help!
