According to recent figures, 235 million people are playing games on Facebook each month. The rise in popularity of gaming on the social media giant is far outstripping the likes of Microsoft's Xbox Live, which has 40 million active users a month. Gaming developers are now looking more seriously at Facebook as a natural home for their products.

Whilst 58% of smartphone users are under 20, many teenagers are blasé about online safety. The Family Online Safety Institute has partnered up with the likes of Facebook, Microsoft and Google to launch 'A Platform For Good' - an online resource that aims to teach teenagers how to keep safe whilst using the net.

It was announced on Tuesday that EE, formerly Orange and T-Mobile, will launch the UK's first 4G network. Currently being tested in London, Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol, the network is expected to cover 98% of the country by 2014. 4G will mean improved network speed and a more reliable connection for users.
