Chinese-American Planning Council, Inc.

Hello CPC,

Tomorrow is the big day, Primary Election Day! This is your last opportunity to make your voice heard, so be sure to get out and vote.

As a reminder, you must be registered with either the Democratic or Republican Party to vote in this primary election. If you are not registered with a party, you will still be eligible to vote in the General Election this November.

While CPC encourages everyone's participation in the electoral process, CPC maintains a policy of strict neutrality towards candidates and political parties.

Election Day Information

  • Date: Tuesday, June 23rd

  • Poll Hours: 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Before heading to the polls:

  • Find your poll site location and view a sample ballot here

  • Check your voter registration status and party affiliation here

Remember your voting rights:

  • If you are in line before the polls close at 9:00 PM, you still have the right to cast your ballot, even if voting continues after the polls officially close.

  • If you don't see your name on the machine, you can request to vote by "affidavit ballot", where you affirm you are a US citizen and are eligible to vote at this poll site. After the Board of Elections verifies your information, your vote will be counted.

Election Season

This has been an incredible election season, and we couldn't have done it without our amazing staff. We proudly hosted our Stroll to the Polls early voting event with senior community members from Nan Shan Senior Center, and more than 10 staff members participated in our Train-the-Trainer series. Together, these efforts helped us surpass our goal of reaching more than 200 community members across eight sites, and training workshops were in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, ensuring participants could access information in their preferred language and feel empowered and confident when casting their vote.

We would also like to recognize our outstanding Advocacy Leadership Fellows (ALFs), whose dedication helped lead voter engagement and outreach efforts across all three community centers. Working closely with our staff, they provided voter education, assisted with voter registration, helped them create voting plans, and answered common election-related questions. Their commitment and leadership played a key role in supporting staff to participate in the democratic process.

Thank you to all the staff who made this civic engagement work possible, and as usual please don't hesitate to reach out to the Policy Team (Jenny at jzheng5@cpc-nyc.org or Caroline at cscown@cpc-nyc.org) with any voting questions.

See you at the polls and your "I Voted" Stickers!
