Join us to celebrate the opening of Lake Macquarie’s reinvigorated arts space – the Museum of Art and Culture (MAC).

From Saturday 23 November through to Sunday 24 November, MAC and the sculpture park will become a hive of activity with creative fun and free events for all ages. From markets to workshops, guided exhibition tours to live music, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

GUIDED EXHIBITION TOURS

OUTDOOR COMMUNITY ART PROJECT 
– RICHARD LEWER

Saturday and Sunday throughout the day
Watch artist Richard Lewer create a large-scale painting in the museum grounds.

 
 

OUTDOOR COMMUNITY ART PROJECT 
– JASMINE CRACIUN

Saturday and Sunday throughout the day
Join local emerging Aboriginal artist Jasmine Craciun in weaving woven forms for an artwork in the museum grounds.

 
 
 

HUNTER ARTS NETWORK ART BAZAAR

Sunday 8am – 4pm
Immerse yourself in local arts and crafts at this special Hunter Arts Network Arts Bazaar in-conjunction with the opening of MAC
– Museum of Art and Culture yapang.

 
 
 

THE GOOD SPIRIT SHOW –
MUURRANG MARAI SHOW

Saturday 3pm  |  Sunday 11am
Learn about Aboriginal language, songs and animals in this interactive workshop. Suitable for children 4+ with adults.
