COVID-19 COMMUNITY UPDATES AND RESOURCES

CPC is working to keep our communities safe and healthy. Please see the updated list below for how to navigate the current public health situation.

  • Do not go to the emergency department or ER of a hospital unless you have a medical emergency.
  • The NY Presbyterian Coronavirus Hotline 646-697-4000 has been created to answer questions about COVID-19.
  • To report cases of COVID-19: Call 311
  • Federal tax deadline delayed until July 15, 2020

During the COVID-19 health crisis, CPC programs are working on a modified schedule until at least April 20, 2020. This is an evolving situation and things are constantly changing. CPC will monitor, assess, and provide updates on our modified services on an ongoing basis. Updated information can always be found on our website, www.cpc-nyc.org, or call CPC Central 212-941-0920.

All CPC Community Centers are closed until at least April 20, 2020, but you can call for information on services:

  • Childhood Development Services: 212-941-0920 ext. 165
     
  • All CPC Senior Centers are closed but continue to distribute grab and go meals for members on a daily basis until the Department for the Aging can take over meal deliveries.
     
  • OPWDD funded programs (Special Needs) - CPC has suspended activities following guidance from the Department of Mental Health and Hygiene in regards to group gatherings. Staff still connect with parents of the community members served for wellness checks.
     
  • The Individualized Residential Alternative Program, home delivered meals, home care program, and Hong Ning Housing for the Elderly will continue services as usual.
     
  • Community Health Services - In person testing is suspended but digital outreach, case management and wellness calls are being conducted.

Currently there is no impact to payment of benefits as a result of the Coronavirus. Guidance and instructions are evolving rapidly regarding benefit access, appointments, and fair hearings. This guide provides information on these changes, as well as additional resources. Note, the  information may change in the coming days. 

REMINDER: Fill out your Census!
Our communities were already at risk for an undercount and diminished representation. The mandated closures and isolation of COVID-19 only add to the challenge to get our communities counted. Please take a moment to make sure you have filled out your Census. It's easier than ever before, you can go online to https://my2020census.gov OR you can fill it out over the phone

You can use the letter that was mailed to your household, but if you don't have it, you can enter your address through either of the options above.
