Friends of PfP Trivia Bowl Raises More Than $13,000 for Places for People

Friends of PfP Board

The Friends of Places for People Trivia Bowl was held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Soulard.

The Friends of PfP are proud to announce that the event, which was presented by West Pine Pharmacy, raised a net total of $13,194 for Places for People. We would like to thank the evening's sponsors, each team captain, the 31 teams and all 308 participants for making the Trivia Bowl such a fun night and successful event. Participants in the Trivia Bowl also helped replenish the Outreach Team's pocket food supply by donating food in exchange for free mulligans.

Congratulations to Table #2, featuring PfP's own Ellen Kratz as team captain, for winning the Trivia Bowl. The champions answered 89 of 100 questions correctly.

During the HeplerBroom, LLC, Halftime Show, Emcee Don Shipp and Friends of PfP President Melissa Null asked the more than 300 people in attendance to "give the gift of warmth" by contributing to a special fund to assist people served by PfP pay for utilities this winter. The response was overwhelming, with $3,096 being donated.
