Operative parts of the 2GP

A review of submissions was undertaken to identify rules that did not receive submissions in opposition to them, and, therefore, must be treated as operative in accordance with Section 86F of the Resource Management Act (RMA). This information is now available on the 2GP website at www.2gp.dunedin.govt.nz.

Hearings panel appointed

Dunedin City Council is pleased to announce the appointment of David Collins and Gary Rae as the two independent commissioners on The Proposed Dunedin City District Plan Hearings Panel – Te Paepae Kaiwawao Motukake O Te 2GP.

Mr Collins, who will chair the panel, and Mr Rae join Councillors David Benson-Pope, Aaron Hawkins, Jinty MacTavish and Kate Wilson on the six-member panel to consider submissions on the Proposed Second Generation District Plan (2GP).

Hearings are scheduled to begin at the end of April.

Further submissions

The next phase in the 2GP is the further submissions process. This process allows certain people to make a further submission on whether they support or oppose a point raised in an original submission. The further submission period will be open from 10 to 26 February. You will receive notification by email, and a further update on this part of the process from City Development next week.
