PAVER DESIGN FOR RECLINATA CIRCLE
As you are aware, the work of renovating and replacing the pavers at the Reclinata circle is in progress.
Unfortunately, there is currently a lot of incorrect information being disseminated throughout the various HOAs. Via this newsletter the Championship POA Board would like to correct the inaccuracies.
The existing pavers, which have been there for 30+ years and are starting to fail, are being removed and similar pavers will soon start to be installed. As we have advised in an earlier newsletter, the color of the new pavers is similar to what the original pavers were when first installed. However, those pavers have been through 30+ years of Florida sunshine and traffic and are now significantly lighter in tone. They also do not meet current DOT standards.
There is a discussion being generated by some of the Eagleton HOA's that, as part of the replacement process, Championship intends to put in a "star" at various locations in the roadway. This is inaccurate.
While the Championship Board has discussed this and based on a "rough sketch" we voted to proceed and get clearer design elements and facts from the vendor, we have not agreed to install those "stars" until a further review by the Championship Board.
The 6-pointed Starburst that will be considered at the upcoming September Board of Directors meeting is intended to represent the six HOAs that make up Big Eagleton and looks like this. To make that point clear we have superimposed the names of the six HOAs, but those names will NOT be on the roadway.
The existing roadway currently has three circle in the pavers as shown by the below images and the 6-pointed Starburst will, if approved at the September Board meeting, simply replace those circles.
It should also be noted that the 6-pointed Starburst, if approved by the Board, will only be installed as the final step in the project, so no work will be done on that phase until perhaps mid to late October.
We sincerely hope that this information helps to clarify the thoughts of your Championship Board and dispel any unfounded rumors that may have been circulating.
