We had a great short week talking about Presidents' Day and George Washington.  The students had great ideas of what they would do if they were president.  Dr. Seuss’s birthday is on March 2nd.  We will spend this week working with his books.

Next Week

  • Unit Study: We will study the great works of Dr. Seuss.
  • Show and Tell:  Students need to bring in their favorite Dr. Seuss book. (Please bring by Monday or Tuesday.)  We will read the many ones I have and the ones they bring during the week.  Please be sure to write their name in the book.
  • Bible: Parables and Miracles of Jesus
  • Bible Verse:  Matthew 6: 9-10 “Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven.”
  • Reading:  We will continue practicing long and short vowels, sight words, and working in our reading groups.  We will also review special sounds “th-” in thick and “th-” in this. 
  • Math:  We will review our 2D and 3D shapes, practice telling time, and review addition and subtraction.

  • March 7:  Spring Pictures -Free Dress Up Day
  • March 15:   Student-Led Conferences
  • March 19-23:  Spring Break- No School
