Over the last few weeks on assignr.com, we have noticed that the "service unavailable" page has been shown more often than it should be.  This has been happening intermittently with the site, typically for only a few minutes at a time. We have also been investigating slow page load times, which have been steadily getting worse this month.

Back in August, we made some changes to our servers that unexpectedly impacted the performance on the site. Once the Fall season began, the increased traffic on the site was making the problem worse. On Thursday night, we doubled our server capacity, but we were still seeing issues with performance on the site.

This past weekend, we were able to identify and correct the issue that was causing this to happen. If you are assigning games this week, you'll notice that the site is faster than it has been in the past.

We know that you depend on our site to manage your officiating needs, and we are very sorry that this happened. In addition to doubling our capacity, we have changed the way we monitor the site so that we can better respond to these kinds of issues in the future.
