Summer Programming

As schools begin preparing for the end of the year, don’t forget that we are here all summer long! We will continue to provide our members with updates on student programming, resources, educational opportunities, important legislation and much more.

Summer Camp 2015

Get your students ready for the educational adventure of a lifetime. ALL ABOARD! This year's Summer Leadership Camp theme is S.S. Leadership! Our week long Leadership Camp is packed with full days of curriculum, speakers, workshops, and student growth initiatives unlike anywhere else. Registration for Summer Leadership Camp is open to all High School students. SETSEG Camp Scholarships

Summer Leadership Camp is just around the corner! The SETSEG Foundation is once again showing its commitment to Michigan students and student leadership by offering 65 scholarships to attend this life-changing camp experience.

Adviser Corner

Mark your calendars for the NCSA Conference scheduled for Friday, December 4 through Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Sheraton at the Falls and Niagara Falls Convention Center located a short walk from the American Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world

The National Conference on Student Activities (NCSA) is designed to provide program strands that encourage participation of a wide variety of activity advisors, school administrators, leadership educators, motivational speakers, and consultants.

Adviser Development Program

A new program just for student activity Advisers is in the works! The Adviser Development Program is developed by MASC/MAHS and will be offered through Michigan Virtual University. The program will provide advisers the opportunity to grow in their own talents and skillsets in the art of student advising. Curriculum components include: Advisers guide to student activities; Teaching leadership; Networking; From the research; Performing activities; and many more concepts vital to the success of our student programs.

This program will also offer SCECHs. The first cohort will launch in the Summer 2015, make sure that you are one of them! More details on this program and the summer course will be available in the next issue of Leadlines.


NASC-National Student Leadership Week

Join chapters from around the nation in celebrating National Student Leadership Week. It will take place April 19–25, 2015. The theme is "The Power of One," challenging students to consider how much of a difference one can make in driving change—one student, one student council, one teacher, one community and so on.
