At Sketch Group, we believe that sketching can be transformational. Our sketches solve problems, bring stories to life, and simplify the complex. Here's a snapshot of what we've been up to lately. Whether you work in the private or public sector, sell products or deliver services, you have a community that shapes your organisation. And in every instance, understanding your community—who they are and what's important to them—is key to your success. Lately we've been working with some fantastic local councils who understand this concept well. These organisations wanted to showcase ideas, plans, strategies and roadmaps for the future with their community, and engaged Sketch Group with this communication task. Together, we've created videos to solicit feedback from their communities about transport plans, population growth, new civic centres and upgrades to parks and facilities. And we've been thrilled to help. City of Geelong: Help shape the City's new Civic Precinct There are so many reasons a sketch video is the perfect communication tool for engaging with specific communities. We can draw geography, buildings and local icons that really locate the video in a specific area. It makes it personal and special. City of Moreland: Population Growth Capture the present, or envision the futureThe beauty of an illustrated video is that we can sketch the world as it exists now, or we can showcase what the future might be. We especially love depicting diverse populations—community as it truly exists in Australia in 2019. Sketching your communication offers both a show-and-tell way of getting your message across, which can be especially helpful with culturally and linguistically diverse communities. City of Moreland: Moreland Integrated Transport Stategy (MITS) And of course, sketch videos are perfect for simplifying the complex. And that's what we do best. City of Geelong: Car Parking in Central Geelong We'd love to help you and your community, so get in touch if you think we might be able to help you with an event, a video project, or you'd just like to sketch out some ideas that you've got kicking around, to give them clarity. Cheers
