Dear Old Moretonian,
Attached to this email is the first e-version of the Spring Moreton Update containing all the OM News and a host of exciting interactive facilities including a video clip of OM Laura Edwards’ presentation at the recent Moreton Business Lunch!

I read with interest (and great glee!) the news of Moreton’s continuing success in the competitive world of girls’ Lacrosse. For the 1st XII to be ranked in the top ten teams in the country at the National Schools’ Lacrosse Competition is a wonderful achievement, especially outperforming much larger schools such as Wycombe Abbey, Marlborough, Cheltenham Ladies' College, Stowe, St. Marys Calne and the like. It is satisfying to know and be able to spread the word that Moreton is still so competitive at Lacrosse!
I know that Moreton and the Sports Staff including OM Lulu Lewin (Hope 87) would welcome any Old Moretonian supporters at these matches and perhaps next year, we should organise an OM presence to cheer the teams on.
There are two forthcoming OM Decade Reunions taking place in the summer. Firstly the OM 1971 – 1981 Decade Lunch on Saturday 12th May, beginning with Drinks in the Front Hall at 12pm. This is my era and I am really looking forward to seeing many OM friends on the day. So do please come along!
The second reunion is the OM 1981 – 1991 Decade Lunch on Saturday 23rd June at 12pm. Hopefully this will be attended by many OMs, as historically these years held about 50 Moretonians in each year and I know OM Secretary Katy Tanner (Barrett) is keen to see many OMs from 1987.I know I keep saying this but these Reunions are such a wonderful opportunity to catch up with your OM friends! Contact oldmoretonians@moretonhall.com if you would like to attend.
Denise Rylands’ memorial service will also be held that day at 10.30am and we would like to see as many OMs as possible attending this service, to commemorate Denise’s life and all that she did for Moreton. There will be a chance to raise a glass to Denise after the service. We will be sending out further information about the service shortly.
Also attached is an invitation to the Moreton end of year celebration, ‘Take that in the Amphitheatre’ on Friday 6th July. This is always a fun evening and lovely to see the Amphitheatre in its proper use although a little different from Thea Musgrave’s production of a ‘Tale for Thieves’ in 1955. Many OMs are now using this event as an impromptu reunion. Click here for the invitation.
I would also like to draw to your attention, the updated Old Moretonian Facebook presence with OM Photos and news of future OM events. The Facebook site will be constantly updated and will highlight all Old Moretonian events. As well as using the page to post your reunions, we are hoping that many OMs will upload old photos from their Moreton days to share and populate the site.

Finally I also attach the form to return to update us with all your news as well as the Friends of Moreton flyer which tells you about all the exciting events happening at Moreton which you are extremely welcome to attend.
