CPC Releases 2024 Annual Report CPC is pleased to present our 2024 Annual Report. The theme, “Celebrating Our Legacy, Inspiring the Future,” honors the rich history and hard work of those who laid the foundation of CPC while also looking forward to new efforts that will empower future generations to reach new heights. As we look forward to 2025, we are excited to celebrate our 60th anniversary. This milestone will celebrate six decades of service and advocacy across New York City and set the stage for increasing our impact among community members. CPC In The News
Epoch Times Highlights Nan Shan OAC's Winter Festival Celebration On December 21st, Epoch Times covered the Winter Festival Celebration hosted by CPC Nan Shan Older Adult Center (OAC) at the Royal Queen Restaurant. The event drew over 500 community members, elected officials, and partners, who enjoyed a dim sum brunch, live performances, and exciting prizes, including shopping carts and gift cards. Attendees included State Senator John Liu, representatives from the offices of Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, and Council Member Sandra Ung.
World Journal Covers Open Door OAC's Christmas Charity Action On December 18th, World Journal featured the “Heartwarming Christmas Charity Action” hosted by CPC Open Door Older Adult Center (OAC) at the House of Joy restaurant. Over 350 older adults, representatives from the Department for the Aging, staff, and community partners gathered for the celebration. There were Christmas carols, prize giveaways, and delicious Chinese food for everyone to enjoy.

Childhood Development Services Spread Holiday Cheer with Santa Visits, Gifts, and Family Fun CPC Early Childhood Centers and School-Age Child Care Centers celebrated the holiday season with children and their families. Santa Claus made surprise visits to hand out presents, while the children enjoyed arts and crafts, meals, and other holiday activities. Warm holiday wishes were shared across all centers. Thank you to all staff for spreading joy and to the donors for their generous holiday presents.
Education and Career Services Hosts Holiday Party for Project Gateway College Alumni On December 31st, CPC Education and Career Services held a holiday party for over 80 alumni from Project Gateway. The event featured a chorus group performance, followed by a career panel with professionals from diverse fields. This gathering provided networking opportunities for students entering the job market. Attendees also learned about CPC's advocacy efforts at the end of the event. FAMILY SUPPORTWe make it easier for individuals and families to access personalized social resources because support is fundamental at every age.
Queens Special Needs Team Hosts Winter Festival for Community Members On December 14th, the CPC Queens Special Needs team hosted a Winter Festival that brought the community together for a day of fun activities, including arts & crafts, a photo booth, and giveaways. Sponsored by Royal Care and HealthNeed Medical Urgent Care, the event also offered valuable information and guidance on available resources for families.
CPC Partners with Mayor's Office to Support IDNYC Applications On December 12th, CPC Nan Shan Older Adult Center collaborated with the NYC Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) to assist older adults in obtaining an IDNYC card. Through this partnership, MOIA offers linguistically accessible support, with a CPC team member available on-site at the Queens Community Center to guide applicants through the process. COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENTWe empower New Yorkers to represent and to advocate for themselves and their communities because their leadership is essential for positive—and lasting—social change. We engage with individuals to plan and develop their career paths because professional success is critical for economic independence.
CPC Supports Study on Mental Health in AANHPI Youth CPC participated in the Advancing Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Youth's Mental Health study by the Institute for Population Health Sciences. Judy Ah-Yune, Director of CPC Manhattan Community Services, was one of the interviewees in the research. This study highlights the challenges faced by AANHPI youth, who experience high mental health burdens but have the lowest healthcare utilization and help-seeking behaviors.
CPC Recognizes Impactful Programs and Partnerships at Annual Reception On December 12th, CPC hosted an Appreciation Reception at CPC One, bringing together over 100 supporters and partners to celebrate their dedication and impact on our organization and community. The event also recognized our 2024 CPC Service Star Award recipient, the Promise NYC Program, which provides childcare assistance to undocumented children in Queens.
