Do I need to bring chairs or picnic rugs? No.
The Gala in the Grounds will be predominantly held throughout the Senior School Main Quad. There will be cocktail-round style tables, benches, and other seating available, but it is not a picnic-style event.
Where is the event being held? Senior School Main Quad.
The event and entertainment will be held in the Main Quad and close surrounds, with complimentary dessert, tea and coffee available in the Dining Hall. At 9:00pm, attendees will be asked to move to the stairs in front of the Breezeway for the fireworks display to end the night. See the map above for more details.

Where can I park? In any of the School car parks.
The closest parking to the event is in the Main Car Park off Monaro Crescent (via Gate B), or in the new car park off Mugga Way (via Gate H). See a full map of the campus for parking entries at CGS.ACT.EDU.AU
Do I need to bring cash or card? Either is fine.
There will be an ATM on-site, however, due to the number expected to attend, we recommend you bring cash.
Who is the event for? Adults-only!
The evening programme is designed for adults-only: parents, friends, community, and alumni aged 18 and over. Children will not be able to attend. CGS students, regardless of age, will not be permitted to attend the event as per the School's Alcohol Policy.
We encourage you to use the evening as a way to socialise with other parents and CGS community members. Students will enjoy their own celebration throughout the afternoon.
Do I need tickets or to RSVP? No.
You do not need any tickets for the event, and you do not need to RSVP. Just turn up from 6:00pm, but if you're looking youthful, you might need your ID for entry.
What do I need to wear? Smart casual.
You're welcome to dress up, but smart casual is what we'd recommend. Please note that much of the event is also on grass, so high heels are not recommended.
What will the evening include? An amazing line-up of talented performers.
The evening will include professional entertainment from a variety of Alumni acts including Alex Gibson (The Voice Finalist), Chelsea Bonnano, Mango Jam, Mathew Nicholls (Jazz Quintet), and Max Wills as DJ; and a performance by the professional entertainer group Geed UP. The evening will be hosted by CGS Alumnus and comedian Ryan Goodman, and the night will conclude with a fireworks display.
I'm going to be hungry, will there be food? Yes - there will be loads of food vendors.
There will be food available on-site for purchase from a variety of food vendors, and a drinks package is available for purchase, or drinks can be purchased on the night from the bar. Vendors will include: Mr Papas, Capital Woodfired Pizza, Grease Monkey, Yia Yia's Kitchen, Wokitup, La Empanada, Twist it, and Tikka Stand.
There will also be complimentary tea, coffee, and desserts in the CGS Dining Hall from 7:00pm, provided by Trippas White Group.
