Fall Time is Fit Time

Fall in Boise means having fun while staying fit, with lots of incentives coming down the pike next month. First, lace up your shoes, grab your four-legged buddy and enter the 2020 Paws-Ton Virtual Marathon during the near-perfect running weather provided by Boise in September. This dog-focused virtual event allows you to pick your distance, your pace and even your route. Find out more here. Not a runner? Take a beautiful walk through the Idaho Botanical Gardens, where leaves are just now about to begin changing colors. Or, get on a bike: You can explore the hundreds of miles of singletrack trails in the Boise Foothills without fear of melting your tires in the heat. Need more motivation? Check out the Our Favorite Trails event from mountain bike trail boosters SWIMBA, where you can compete to explore new-to-you trails in Boise.  Find out more here.

The Award Isn’t Virtual

The Boise Convention and Visitors Bureau wasn’t about to cancel one of the year’s most uplifting events. Nor were we content to just have a “virtual” celebration of Boise’s best representatives of the tourism and hospitality industry. So this year the Recognition Of Service Excellence, or ROSE Awards, will be different, but the spirit lives on. We’ll be using our resources that would have been used to put together the traditional in-person version of the event, and create a special night to celebrate our winners. We’ll make sure we celebrate their work and make their go-beyond-the-call-of-duty commitment known to the rest of the world. Watch us at during the virtual portion of the awards on September 28th at 4pm at boise.org/rose-awards.
