Some highlights of our meeting included hearing from Mike Patchett, Chairperson, Water & Wildlife Habitat Trust, as part of our Public Forum. Mr Patchett gave an update on the progress of the Otukaikino Healthy Waterways and Catchment Collaborative Partnership. We also hear from Averil Worner from Rangitahi Bryndwr Trust who gave an update on some of the great work the group has been doing. Share your views on the Wheels to Wings CyclewayWheels to Wings – Papanui ki Waiwhetū will provide a connection for local cycling trips in the Harewood, Bishopdale and Papanui suburbs to destinations including schools, shops, businesses and recreational facilities. Cheque payments coming to an endChristchurch City Council is stopping cheques as a payment option. Residents will no longer be able to make cheque payments from 30 April 2021, due to the three major New Zealand banks phasing them out in May, June and July of this year. Feedback wanted on central city parking approachChristchurch City Council is encouraging people to give their feedback on a proposed new policy that aims to ensure we have the right mix of parking in the central city. Our Draft Christchurch Central Parking Policy is open for public consultation until 22 February 2021.
