Japan Festival and Hanshin Cup This Saturday - Join In!
Join us for a celebration of Japanese culture, featuring music and special entertainment this Saturday, May 19th, 1-5pm at Arlington Race Track. Come see aikido, taiko, and kendo performances, Kobe beef and banh mi rolls, and shodo, sushi rolling, and face painting! You can find more information here.

Japan Festival 2012
Presented by the Mid America Japanese Club and District 214 Community Education, the 30th Annual Japan Festival on June 9th will feature the best of Japanese music, dance, martial arts, culture exhibits, food, and a kids corner. Lecture: Deco Japan: Shaping Art and Culture, 1920-1945
Professor Kendal Brown will draw on the recent exhibition Deco Japan held at the Japan Society of New York. This exhibition is the first in the U.S. to explore a little known brand of pre-WWII modernism borne of competitive ingenuity and vivacious cosmopolitansim.
