WHERE THE HELL IS THE TURKEY?
Finally the favorite bird of the season is flying over to our kitchens! I just don’t understand why it is quite hard to find this sexy big bird the rest of the year... I am personally always craving for it, not necessarily the whole giant roast thing but it can be done in many different flavorsome ways – when I was a kid I used to have it all the time as a schnitzel with shredded carrot rice.
Very few things have the glamour of being as festive as the Turkey! I mean, probably, only Champagne has the same privilege to be around the “big” family and get together days! Nevertheless I wouldn’t like to be in the “shoes” of a Turkey during this season, the turkey population is probably reduced to a quarter during the season, the rest of the year, they are getting nurtured with a lot of TLC (aka Tender Love and Care, but in this case superfoods to make the bird big and juice, for next year’s feasts….)
Dad’s are also getting fooled by their kids and wife’s once again – yep, it is that time of the year when they will blur you with nice words, some silly gifts (ties, cuff links, pens and the usual stuff) and expect a WHOLE year of sponsorship for their cravings, gifts, gadgets and a lot of patience!
