Will 2018 be the year of biotech M&A? - An analysis by KBC Securities

In the Belgian biotech space, 2018 has started with a bang. With not even two full weeks into the new year, two Belgian biotechs have already received takeover bids from major pharma players. While Takeda and Tigenix seem to be aligned when it comes to the takeover story, Danish diabetes specialist Novo Nordisk appears to be having a more difficult time convincing its target of choice, Ablynx.

Pitching Training & Pitching Competition for Bio€quity and knowledge for growth

Funding remains one of the major challenges in our life sciences sector. That is why we decided to set up a pitching training & competition in the week of March 26th, 2018: receive hands on company specific training from US professionals! This training & competition is organised - a.o. - in preparation of the life sciences investor conference Bio€quity (May 14-16th, 2018, Ghent) and knowledge for growth (May 17th, Ghent).

flanders.bio and Flanders Investment & Trade will (re)present the vibrant Flemish life sciences cluster at the BIO International Convention; the largest global event for the biotech industry (June 4-7, 2018 - Boston, US). Life Sciences companies based in Flanders can join us and will be offered a wide range of services. Registration is open until 31/01/2018.
