Tommy's Place is OPEN!

We are thrilled to announce that just a few short weeks ago, in mid-July, Tommy's Place officially opened its doors!

A 14 year old dream has culminated into the creation of a magical home for kids that are fighting cancer. Please click on the image to the left to view the beautiful interior and exterior photos of Tommy's Place. (Courtesy of Rebecca Chotkowski)

Also, all of us at Tommy's Place would like to sincerely thank the Boston Bruins for all of their support thus far. Recently, they stopped by for a visit at the same time their friend, "The Mighty Quinn" was welcomed into the house as our very first guest! We'd like to thank the Boston Bruins for helping us bring smiles to the faces of kids fighting cancer and sharing this special video to the left.

And finally, the mom of #TryonStrong presented this short video of her family's recent stay at Tommy’s Place.

The gratitude, appreciation and pure joy of the family is evident throughout this entire video.

Please enjoy and try your best not to cry!

Please take a few moments to click on their brief video clip on the right to see this amazing family enjoy all that Tommy's Place has to offer these wonderful families.

It’s now time to Maintain, Sustain and GROW Tommy’s Place!

Are you ready for the next one!?

Our founder isn’t stopping at just one Tommy’s Place. Each week as he opens the door to a new family, he feels the pull, need and desire to do even more. He knows that for every one family that comes into the home there are hundreds more sitting at home wishing they could do the same.  The Richardson family in Falmouth helped to make the first Tommy’s Place possible by offering a very steep reduction in price of their family property.  If you know of a large home, inn, motel, resort or raw piece of land that you think would be a prime candidate for the next Tommy’s Place, please reach out.  Maybe you or someone you know has excess property that you may want to gift or offer to Tommy’s Place at a significant price reduction. The model is in place. Our trade partners, volunteers and suppliers are in place. Our hospital referral partners at Boston Children’s, Mass General Hospital, Dana Farber/Jimmy Fund Clinic and Tufts Children’s Hospital are standing by with families that are hoping to come to Tommy’s Place.  If you would like to present an opportunity directly to our founder Tim O'Connell, he can be reached by phone at (617) 799-5494 or through email at tommysplacefalmouth@gmail.com.

Also, in order to continue to bring smiles to the faces of kids fighting cancer, Tommy’s Place is in continued need of financial support.  To keep the doors open and offer free of charge magical vacations, we need to maintain and sustain Tommy’s Place. You can offer financial support by clicking here. In addition, various individuals have come up with unique ways to offer support to Tommy’s Place. Lemonade stands, painted rocks, retail sales promotions, raffles, bingo nights, golf tournaments, road races, concerts and community events are just some of the ways that individuals and businesses have supported Tommy’s Place. If you have an idea, please reach out to Tim - he’d love to hear from you!
