Optional Secondary Training (highly suggested):

  1. **Salvation Army Introduction to Disaster Services -The Salvation Army now has an online version of their Introduction to Disasters course. It’s an easy, user-friendly, informative class that takes less than 4 hours if you tackle it all at once. It is often required for any deployment with our partners at the Salvation Army. You may start and stop along the way or do it in one sitting. Click Here for Online Class instructions.
  2. **Salvation Army Food Service (1/2 day course) --Click HERE for a list of Salvation Army trainings in your state.
  3. National Incident Management System (NIMS). -- Free online courses by FEMA that may soon be required nationally. Get Started
  4. CPR / First Aid. -- Classes often available (many are free) by local Red Cross, Salvation Army or civic groups.

** As national partners with the Salvation Army, we recommend these courses which are typically required to serve in their ranks.

There will be multiple opportunities to be involved in the near future -- both in our ongoing recovery and rebuild initiatves following the recent disaster events where Hope Force has responded -- as well as in our ministry efforts in areas of chronic, pre-existing need.  We will keep you notified, so please open all emails from Hope Force International to stay updated.

Join us in bringing hope through compassionate action in Haiti & West Virginia! Check out our brochures on how you can make a difference in these areas of chronic need.

HFI's response to disasters is one of interdependency:

Our ability to effectively respond to those impacted by disasters is inseparably linked to the faithful support and participation of HFI Reservists and others' willingness to engage. We realize that most people can't go most of the time, but some can go some of the time.  When your time to serve comes, it will require not only your time and energy, but the prayers and finiancial support of others as well. If we all pitch in to do what we can, as often as we can, our ability to respond with compassionate action on behalf of those affected by disaster will be greatly multiplied.

Would you please consider becoming a regular or occasional financial supporter of Hope Force International? Thank you... and know we are grateful for you!

Welcome to the Hope Force Family!
