New Technology Acquisition Extends
Market Reach and Solution

Our recently acquired technology solutions "Wattkeeper" and "Intelligen" from South Africa build on Urbanise’s unique eco-system by adding technology features that not only extend our market reach but also fill gaps in our solution:

A cloud based micro-utility billing solution that enables the rapid deployment, billing and reading of smart meters for electricity, water and gas.

A route optimisation, prioritisation and dispatching solution designed to provide service providers with a truly mobile workforce, optimise delivery costs and provide real time information to customers.

A suite of smart meter devices that enable automated meter reading, pre-paid and post-paid business models and smart automation models that  help shift or limit utility consumption and intelligently detect water leaks.

A mobile asset tracking solution that enables owners and operators of large fleets, rental equipment and critical personnel to ensure they are operating in a specific location and to alert and track them when they are not.

From the Regions

Latest news and updates coming from our regional offices:

SA:
We are contracting two additional Strata management companies with 5,360 units under management that will push our total lots to 124,360 units.
We have also launched the Smart Utilities Solution (recently acquired Infotech - Wattkeeper technology) and the response has been overwhelming! Since the beginning of February, we have quoted 33 Strata buildings, representing 1648 electricity meters, 2459 water meters and totaling 2517 Platform accounts.  The annual revenue on quoted prospects is in excess of 1 million AUD.

EMEA:
Full implementation of the Urbanise FM platform has now been completed for a major property developer in Abu Dhabi, covering a total of 33 sites, ranging from retail to commercial and residential communities across the Emirate.  The migration of site, asset and planned/reactive data from other solutions marks the completion of a project to bring all asset management data into one single integrated solution, accessible by multiple service partners, giving the client visibility of all asset activity across its portfolio.

APAC:
Urbanise Partner, Pivotal Procurement (Australia) Pty Ltd is in the process of signing agreements with two of Australia's largest property management companies that will include the rollout of the Urbanise platform to audit and manage property services across 50 landmark office buildings in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Complex Property Services is starting with the initial implementation of Urbanise to sell and manage residential homes across Melbourne.

Strata Update

The Urbanise strata team continues to experience strong growth in our key markets, especially Australia and South Africa. The strata platform is now used to manage over 250,000 units globally. This represents a potential marketplace of over 750,000 owners and tenants. The two key strata projects, King Price in South Africa and PICA in Australia, are both on track and already represent an additional contracted pipeline of 270,000 units. This is expected to grow as new strata solutions are released to the market this year, including our new management platform, customer mobile app and strata e-services.

Partner Program

The Urbanise Partner Program was devised to support the sale and implementation of Urbanise software and hardware on a global basis, enabling us to scale faster. The Program is gaining momentum and we now have one master partner (GIP Global) and a series of sub partners under the GIP family/brand.  UEM Edgenta are implementing the Community Management Platform in the Medini township, and greater Iskandar region in Malaysia and are executing other opportunities in several residential and commercial sites across SE Asia. Holdco represent Urbanise in Kuwait and are opening up Urbanise hardware and software opportunities in KSA, Qatar and Lebanon.
"Key" the UK’s longest-established facilities management company, are also working on a broad set of global opportunities integrating their operational management solutions with the suite of Urbanise technologies.

Smart City Pioneer Awards

At Urbanise, we don’t believe that technology alone makes a city SMART. We believe it is the businesses and service providers that use technology to improve the lives of the people who live and work in cities that truly make a city smart.

It is with this vision in mind, that we are launching the Smart City Pioneer Award, which rewards companies that make meaningful contributions to the quality and range of services they deliver to clients using smart technology.  Our first Smart City Pioneer Award Winner will be announced in the next edition. Stay tuned…
