It’s S For September
Hello Everyone and welcome to this September issue of the Cracking Ideas newsletter.
New Term Fresh Start
The summer holidays might feel like a distant memory already but at Cracking Ideas HQ we are determined not to be in the autumn doldrums! The sun is still out and we are resolute to use our sunny disposition to positive effect. The new term presents a fresh opportunity to develop creative skills and become more innovative so why not embrace the spirit of a fresh start along with us and use some new-found enthusiasm to help us in our latest quest?
A Challenge
At Cracking Ideas HQ we need your help to make up a cracking alphabet of wonderful Wallace & Gromit style sporty activities to act as inspiration for your Cracking Ideas 2011 – 2012 competition entries.
Use Your Noodles
Get your new term thinking caps on, then use the Cracking Ideas news page, post on Facebook or tweet @cracking_ideas
to let us know your suggestions for this very special inventory of cracking sports and activities. We'll select the best ones (not always the most obvious ones!) and publish them on the Cracking Ideas website on a special news post dedicated to this unique alphabet of Wallace & Gromit super sports.
A Prize!
Oh, and did we mention for the best overall idea there will be a suitably cracking prize? To be in with a chance of winning pick any letter of the alphabet for your sporty suggestion or, if you like, you can create a whole list of 26 Wallace & Gromit super sports, A right through to Z!
Ready, Steady, Go ... Get Cracking!
What are you waiting for? Whether you think C should be for crumpet croquet (buttered of course) or cheerleading chess; D for disco discus and E for extreme egg eating ... we want to know. Tell us your ideas for our alphabet of cracking sports and you could be a letter-tastic winner! Oh, and we are especially interested to see what zany sport you come up with for Z!
More Ways To Win
Don't forget the new Cracking Ideas competition is LIVE now so as soon as you've been inspired by our alphabet challenge check out how to enter the nationwide competition and discover what wonderful prizes are on offer. Then get cracking with the innovative sporty ideas and enter
to win. Last years regional finalists had a grand day out at the Cracking Ideas award ceremony held at Newcastle's amazing Life
Science Centre in July where national winners Arianwen Skyrme-Croft, Sula Maclean and Heather Rigby were announced and received their prizes from cracking TV presenter and science explainer Gareth Jones. Of course innovative duo and Cracking Ideas ambassadors Wallace & Gromit made an appearance to help celebrate everybody's success and congratulate Arianwen, Sula and Heather on their winning theme park entries 'Toy World', 'Ocean Park' and 'Levitation Space Coaster'. This could be you next year so if you want to be in with a chance of winning ... don't delay ... get cracking with the creativity and get your sporty ideas speeding to us.
Signing Off
We look forward to hearing from you. 'Til next time, take care and don’t forget : stay creative and innovative and have a letter-tastic new term! Ready, steady go ... Get cracking!
Cracking Regards
