2nd Grade eNews

Don’t forget – NO SCHOOL on Monday. We are out for Presidents' Day! Thanks to everyone helping to make our Valentine Party a success. We had a great time!

• Bible – We are continuing to learn about Daniel. This week our focus will be on Daniel 6. Our memory verse is Joshua 1:9:   “Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
• Reading – We will be reading “Dex, the Heart of a Hero.” Our graphic tool will be Compare/Contrast.
• Spelling – Words with or, ore: horn   story   fork   score   store   corn   morning   shore   short   born   tore   forget   for   more   report   force
• Grammar – Commas in a series
• Math – Multiplying with 5, 10, 1, and 0
• We will continue to work on speed with math facts – please be going over these at home with flash cards

• February 19 – NO SCHOOL – Presidents' Day
• February 27-Discover Shiloh Dinner Event 6 PM
• March 2 – Morning with Mom/Art Fair 7:00-8:00
• March 7 – Spring Picture Day – Dress up or Dress Code
• March 19-23 - NO SCHOOL – SPRING BREAK
• April 9-13 – This will be the week of TN3 testing – we will test beginning at 8:15 a.m. until lunch time at 11:00 a.m.  Please do not schedule any doctor or dentist appointments during this week if at all possible. We do not make up tests.
