Click here CPC Queens Community Services Announces Partnership with GetCoveredNYCOn September 21, 2017, CPC and New York City’s GetCoveredNYC announced that they will partner to provide health insurance assistance to the residents of Queens Community. GetCoveredNYC outreach teams will proactively engage eligible residents and inform them of health insurance options that may be available to them and case-manage each applicant through the process.
Launch of "Celebrate Chinese Culture Through Your Artwork" Drawing ContestTo celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, CPC, Emblem Health and Flushing BID are pleased to present the ”Celebrate Chinese Culture Through Your Artwork” drawing contest. The contest is open to children ages 4 to 12 years old between September 8 to October 13, 2017. Prizes include gift cards and trophies.

Youth Visioning for a Better WorldOn September 18, 2017, Project Reach co-hosted a significant visioning session with Love, Hallie Foundation, a foundation created by Hallie Geier's family after her tragic passing. Over 35 adults and young people convened to talk about the vision for a venue in Times Square and online media which would work to empower other children to become engaged in social justice causes and in making a better world.
CPC Bolsters Social Services Capabilities With Technology Received From IBMCPC has received a SafetyNet technology grant from IBM valued at $300,000 that will help improve services to the immigrant communities in New York City. CPC was one of only a handful of organizations selected in 2017 by IBM for its new SafetyNet grant program.
CPC Queens Special Needs Families Celebrate the End of SummerOn Saturday September 9, 2017, participants, families, staff and volunteers of CPC Queens Special Needs Program gathered for an outing to celebrate the end of the summer at Alley Pond Park. CPC has been a long term advocate for families with special needs by providing them with support, disseminating information, and direction to resources.
Older Workers 55+ to work, receive training, and assist local agencies serving the communityOn September 1, 2017, CPC announced that it was awarded a grant of $2,100,366 from Senior Service America, Inc. The grant will provide temporary employment to at least 228 low-income older adults living in Kings, New York, and Queens Counties through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), a major program of the Older Americans Act.
CPC Community VotesCPC in conjunction with UNH’s Community Votes Initiative has been reminding community members and staff to Get Out the Vote! CPC staff and volunteers made over 500 phone calls reminding people to vote in this year’s primary election.
