Hi there,

As Winston Churchill famously observed, ‘Never let a good crisis go to waste’.

CIOs and IT leaders have embraced the mantra and many have been dining out on their elevated status in the digital-first economy the pandemic has enforced.

With technology and digital capability ever more front and centre in business strategy, the CIO's influence in organisations is at levels not previously enjoyed.

IDG’s 2021 State of the CIO report confirms that CIOs have seen an expansion of their role beyond traditional IT responsibilities, with a full 96 percent of those surveyed saying so.

But that status also comes with new responsibilities, and the most challenging of those is creating new digital revenue streams from IT investments. Productisation of IT offerings, new platforms and reducing friction in interactions with customers are all increasingly part of the mix for the modern CIO.

Enjoy the read,
